BPL tickets will be available at another booth today
The 11th edition of the BPL started yesterday amidst ruckus, protests and vandalism by angry spectators. The main reason for the uproar is the difficulty in buying tickets.
Many people complained that they did not get tickets despite standing in lines for hours at banks and booths. Spectators who bought tickets online also suffered while entering the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium yesterday.
The BCB has arranged to sell tickets from another booth today to ease the suffering of cricket fans. In a press release on Monday night, the board said that an additional booth has been set up adjacent to the City Club Ground in Mirpur 12 for the convenience of fans wishing to buy tickets for today's two matches in the BPL. The booth will be open from 8 am.
Apart from this, tickets will also be available at the booth of the National Swimming Complex adjacent to the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Indoor Stadium. However, tickets will not be available at the designated branches of Madhumoti Bank as the banks will be closed today.
Khulna Tigers-Chittagong Kings and Rangpur Riders-Sylhet Strikers will face each other in the BPL on Tuesday, the last day of the year. The BCB has also changed the BPL schedule in compliance with the instructions of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) regarding traffic movement in the capital on that day.
The starting times of both matches have been brought forward by one and a half hours. The Khulna-Chittagong match will start at 12 noon and the Rangpur-Sylhet match at 5 pm
