Even after the century, Ashwin's wife complains, 'Why didn't you meet me?

Century and 6 wickets - Ravichandran Ashwin had a great match in his hometown Chennai. He also won the man of the match award after this amazing performance to win India against Bangladesh. However, after the match, this all-rounder, who is second in the ICC Test rankings, had to listen to his wife's complaint.

As the match was at Ashwin's home ground, his entire family sat in the gallery from day one to watch the game. Ashwin's wife Preeti Narayanan was in the gallery with their two daughters. After the match, Preity asked Ashwin not to meet her even once on the first day of the Test.

BCCI made a video of the conversation between Ashwin and his wife Preeti after the Chennai Test and posted it on their social media. There the issue of Preeti's allegation on Ashwin came up.

In the video given on social media, Ashwin-Preeti's conversation started like this, 'What gift will you give them on daughter's day?', Ashwin said, 'I will give you the commemorative ball for getting 5 wickets.' , 'No, I don't want that.'

In the video, Ashwin can be heard replying to someone's question, 'She (Preity) is complaining, I didn't meet her on the first day of the match. It's difficult for me to take care of my family in between when I'm playing.'' Ashwin then added, 'But it's on my mind during matches. Because, girls ask me - why didn't you say hi to us.'

At one stage of the video, Preity asks Ashwin - How does he feel after performing in front of his fans at home? In reply, Ashwin said, 'I don't understand how to respond to this. Because what happened on the first day happened very quickly. I never thought I would bat here and score a century. It's a great feeling. Every time I play here, I feel special. I don't know if there is any force in this field that drives me.
