How are Bangladesh's Enamul and Sabbir doing in  Zim Afro T10 League?

If there is a game of Bangladesh national cricket team, the cricket lovers of the country are naturally busy with them. So, very few cricket lovers keep track of where and what cricketers are doing outside the national team.

The current situation is much like that. Bangladesh team went on tour to India. Nazmul-Mushfiq-Miraj will play the second and final Test of the series in Kanpur tomorrow after losing the first Test by a huge margin in Chennai.

On the other hand, two cricketers, Enamul Haque and Sabbir Rahman, who are out of the national team, have gone to Zimbabwe to play Jim Afro T-10. Enamul-Sabbir team has already played 5 matches in that tournament. However, their performance with the bat is not very promising.

Enamul got some runs in the last 2 matches for Bulawayo Brave Jaguars, while Sabbir failed to bat twice for Harare Bolts and was dropped from the team.

Enamul played the last match for Bangladesh in March this year in the Jim Afro T-10 League, so far he has scored 56 runs from 35 balls in 5 matches, with a strike rate of 160. In the same tournament Sabbir managed to score only 3 runs from 5 balls in 2 matches, strike rate 60. This middle order batsman, who last played in the national team in October 2022, can also be called unlucky. He was run out in both matches.

Enamul failed in the first 2 matches for Bulawayo. After taking 1 run from 2 balls against NYS Lagos, he took 4 from 4 balls against Cape Town Samp Army. As a result, against Durban Wolves, he was removed from the opener and played in the middle order. Couldn't do well in that match too, scored 5 runs off 7 balls. However, Enamul gave a 'cameo' of 22 runs off 6 balls against Sabbir's Harar.

Due to that innings, Enamul was brought back to open again in last night's match. Enamul will open the innings with former Australian opener David Warner tomorrow against the Bangladeshi-owned franchise Joburg Bangla Tigers. Although Warner was dismissed in the first over, this Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman scored 24 runs off 16 balls.

Sabbir's batting woes have already been mentioned. He was run out with 1 run from 2 balls in the first match against Cape Town Samp Army. He did not get a chance to bat in the next match against Durban Wolves. In their third match against Joburg, they ran out again with 2 runs from 3 balls! Then he did not make the eleven against Bulawayo and Lagos.

However, Enamul is ahead of Sabbib in terms of individual achievements in the tournament, but he is behind in the team fight. Defeated Sabbir and won 4 out of 5 matches to secure the play-off stage first.

Bulawayo of Enamul is on the brink of elimination after losing 4 out of 5 matches. Each team will play 7 matches in the league phase of this 6-team tournament. In order to play in the play-offs, Enamul Bulawayo will not only have to win the last two matches by a large margin, but also look at the balance of the other matches.

Performances notwithstanding, Enamul's time in Zimbabwe is evident from his Facebook timeline. Enamul made a reel video with his Bulawayo teammates last night.

Rishad Hossain was also supposed to play in the Jim Afro T-10 League. This leg spinner from Bangladesh was recruited by Harare Bolts before the draft. But Rishad did not go to Zimbabwe due to Bangladesh's T20 series against India.
Rishad Hossain is not playing in the Jim Afro T-10 League due to Bangladesh's upcoming T20 series against India.

The first season of Jim Afro T-10 League was held last year. Mushfiqur Rahim and Taskin Ahmed played from Sebar Bangladesh. Both of them are currently in Kanpur with the Bangladesh team.
