Mohammad Anamul Haque Bijoy Profile

Anamul Haque hadn't turned 16 when he made his first-class debut for Dhaka Division in the National Cricket Association in late 2008. He procured the early hit up through some amazing work at the BKSP, the country's biggest sports institute. Simultaneously, he was a regular in the Bangladesh age-bunch teams. By November 2009, he had established himself in the Under-19 team and went on to hit 13 centuries before his ODI debut against West Indies in November 2012. Simultaneously, he won positive surveys for his glovework and batting for Dhaka Gladiators in the Bangladesh Chief Association T20 competition.

The hundreds came for Bangladesh Under-19s, Dhaka and Khulna Division (first-class), Abahani club and BCB Academy. His next century was 120 against West Indies in just his subsequent international match, helping Bangladesh to their largest win in an ODI. He has struck two more international hundreds - against Pakistan and another against West Indies in 2014 - apart from three fifties till the start of the 2015 World Cup. His place in the Test team isn't as regular, though.

Anamul hails from Kushtia in western Bangladesh, but did his schooling in BKSP. The story goes that a teacher gave him the moniker Bijoy (Bengali for victory) after checking that his birth date is December 16, celebrated as Bangladesh's Victory Day (Bijoy Dibosh).

Personal Life:

Anamul Haque married Fariya Era in June 2018 after 10 years of courtship. Together the couple has a daughter born on May 10, 2020.
