She fulfilled that prophecy when she made her debut against South Africa at the end of 2016, but it wasn't until 2021 that the South Australian really started to make a name for herself at the highest level.
McGrath enjoyed a stellar summer for both Australia and the Adelaide Strikers, establishing herself as a key member of the national team. She was recalled to the squad and given a national contract for the 2021-2022 season.
In 2023, under Alyssa Healy, she was promoted to vice-captain of Australia.
