The story of David Warner is not over.
The Australian opener, who retired from Test cricket last January, said that the final of the 2023 World Cup was his last ODI. He had already announced that the recently concluded T20 World Cup will be his last tournament in Australia's jersey.

That Warner indicated to walk the opposite way today. In a huge post on Instagram, Warner wrote, if Australia needs it, he is ready to play in the 2025 Champions Trophy!

The next Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan in February and March next year. In his Instagram post about his cricket career, David Warner said about his future plans, "I will continue franchise cricket for now. If I get a chance in the team, I am also willing to play (for Australia) in the Champions Trophy.

Is it possible to fulfill David Warner's hopes? The answer is, probably not. Warner will not be part of any other tournament or series for Australia before the Champions Trophy. Australia will go to England in September and Pakistan in November to play ODIs this year. Jake Fraser-Magarc is likely to replace Warner in those two series. Australia will not play ODI for more than a year Warner team!

Last January, however, Australia's Test and ODI captain Pat Cummins spoke about Warner's possible return. In response to the question whether David Warner can stay in the Champions Trophy or not, Cummins said, 'Now is the time to give others a chance in ODIs, but since he will continue cricket, I can think about him in an emergency. But David Warner has to run somewhere in the world. So you can't say it's over.'

David Warner scored 6932 runs at an average of 45.30 in 161 ODIs and scored 22 centuries in this edition. Warner started the Instagram post with 'The end of the chapter! It was an incredible experience to play at the highest level for such a long time.
Warner is returning to the cricket field again with Canada's Global T20.
